Why Agriculture is an Unsustainable Model

0

It’s extracting more nutrients from the earth than it is putting in.

It’s destroying natural ecosystems through loss of habitat, deforestation, chemical usage, pollution, soil degredation.

It relies on industrial inputs such as pesticides and fertilisers which are linked to fossil fuel industries, mining and resource extraction, chemical production and pollution.

Crops are vulnerable to weather shocks and disease due to a lack of biodiversity.
