Permaculture consultants, courses and books sometimes argue against vegetarian or vegan permaculture practices. For example, suggesting that permaculture is not possible without manure and that being self-sufficient in the temperate climate zone is hard to do without meat. However, vegan permaculture is not *void of all animals*, it *avoids animal exploitation*.
This website connects vegan and interested permaculturists with resources and each other. Find vegan permaculture consultants, projects and information for sustainable solutions without animal exploitation.

INTRODUCTION TO PERMACULTURE AT A VEGAN FARM

Near Phayao, in northern Thailand
Pure is based in northern Thailand and offers an onsite 5-day course that explains the basics of Permaculture and how Pure has applied these principles to his 3-acre homestead and farm. This is an immersive experience with rustic accommodation and home-cooked food provided each day. Most meal ingredients usually come directly from the farm.
Pure’s approach is practical and low-cost with a focus on self-sufficiency. Short introductions and explanations for each lesson are provided via videos recorded on-site by Marcus Rowntree (one of the founders of this website) and these are then followed by practical activities each session.
